Gilmar Saint’Clair Ribeiro, 62 born in São Caetano do Sul (SP) is a translator (Spanish, French and Italian) and proofreader in several languages (Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian) with wide professional experience. He is also outstanding as an Educational Advisor in University Centers on the art of translating and as a writer (see published titles). From 1974 to 1984 he wrote every week for the Catholic Section of the newspaper Folha da Tarde, in São Paulo. He has specialized in topics of general interest and culture, in philosophical, theological and sociological topics.
For three decades Gilmar Saint’Clair Ribeiro has been an outstanding translator of Neo-Latin languages in literary, technical and commercial subjects (see list of clients) and also as a proofreader of texts in Portuguese and foreign languages. In his resumé there are more than 600 titles either translated or proofread.
